This week we are learning all about
penguins! Today we learned that they have blubber/fat to keep them warm. We
did an experiment with two bowls of ice water. One bowl had a blubber glove, the other did not. The ice water with no blubber was very cold!!!
We found that the blubber is like a jacket for the penguins, it keeps
them very warm.
We also learned that the daddy carries
the egg on his feet. We tried to carry an egg on our feet like they do. We
found that it is really hard. The children had to waddle to keep the eggs from
falling.
