Pollination

Yesterday we finished our plant unit. We learned about pollination. We had nectar (Starburst) and pollen (cheese puffs) in a bowl. We saw how pollination occurs when bugs go to a plant for nectar and get pollen on them. Pollen is messy!

 

Plants!

This week we are learning about plants! The students love it!

We did an experiment to see how the roots carry water through the plant.

We dissected a flower and found the different parts.

                                             

We planted lima beans in baggies with 5 wet cotton balls and 4 lima beans. We placed them in the window so they can get sunlight. Pictures of their progress will be up in a few days!
