Happy St. Patrick's Day

We had a tricky visitor come to school today…a leprechaun. While we were at music he made a big mess in our room. He turned the chairs over, threw paper on the floor, and even left green water in the potty! He left a note that sent us on a scavenger hunt through the school looking for him. We didn’t find him, but he left us skittles and magic leprechaun juice.

Meteorologist

Dana Barker from WLTZ came to talk to our class about his job as a meteorologist!  

Movie Night with Mrs. Lett

Movie night with Mrs. Lett was a success! We had so much fun!  

Weather

This week we have been learning about different types of weather. We made a rain storm on Wednesday using shaving cream for clouds and blue food coloring for rain. We also learned about the water cycle and the 3 different types of clouds. Next time your outside ask your child what type of clouds are in the sky (cumulus, stratus, or cirrus).

Bartholomew and the Oobleck

We read Bartholomew and the Oobleck.  We wrote the Oobleck recipe and then made  Oobleck! We found that Oobleck was hard like a solid and then became slimy like a liquid when you picked it up.  We had a lot of fun!
